Libre Office 6.3.0
LibreOffice is a package of open source and free office
applications developed by The Document Foundation (TDF). The name LibreOffice
is a combination of the words Libre (Spanish and French which means free) and
Office (English meaning office). This application package is a derivative of
OpenOffice.org in 2010, which is an open source version of StarOffice that
preceded it. All features in OpenOffice are also in LibreOffice, and the
development is done more openly and independently because it is under the
auspices of a non-profit developer. LibreOffice consists of word processing
programs, creation and editing of scattered cattle, slide shows, diagrams and
drawings, database work, and writing mathematical formulas.
LibroOffice uses the OpenDocument (ODF) file format
according to international ISO / IEC standards as its original format for
storing documents in all of its applications (as with its brothers from
OpenOffice.org: Apache OpenOffice and NeoOffice). The OpenDocument file format
is now also supported by all major office application packages (both open
source and individual). LibreOffice is also compatible with other office
application packages, including Microsoft Office, through various import /
export filters. Microsoft Office file formats are well supported, although some
layout features and attribute formatting are handled differently in this
application or the same is not fully supported in these filters. LibreOffice is
available in 110 languages, and various computing platforms, including
Microsoft Windows, OS X (10.8 or later), and Linux (including LibreOffice
